For those who haven't heard - in March, FX is debuting a new series Black.White. Co - Executive Produced by Ice-Cube, Black. White. examines the lives of two familes (one white the other black) who switch races and live as the other race. GO here to see the clip:

I heard about the show last year and thought it was interesting. I saw Cube on Good Morning AMerica this morning talking about the show and was even more intrigued. Personally, I think the show will open the dialogue of race relations in this country that people for so long try to ignore . . . .this is NOT a utopian society and there are stereotypes people harbor about the other race that they don't even realize they harbor. For example, one of the clips shown on GMA was the white mother (Carmen) explaining to the black mother (Rene) why the Carmen used the b word when talking to someone . . her comment was that she was "trying to be black." Rene quickly told her that was not being black and of course, Carmen starts to cry . . .interesting. . .
Sorry so long, but I wanted to get GCer's perspective on what effect they think this show will have on race relations in this country, if any.
