I still wear my college ring on a chain around my neck (my finger can't fit it anymore ). I used my birthstone (ruby) with my major on one side (EE) and year on the other side (90) and my Greek letters (DST) in gold across the stone. I believe we used Josten's for our rings.

Hey Not sure if you have heard of them but Jostens specializes in school rings, and I believe they do greek lettering on their rings. I remeber them mentioning something about it last semester at school. I believe the site is :
Jostens
actually I just checked they do them check under their ring options under encrusting symbols
Hope all this helps
