I think I agree with both of these, but for safe measure (and because of past experiences).... I don't believe a WORD a guy says when he is drunk. Better safe than sorry.
Personally, I would ignore the words he said when he was drunk and instead pay attention to his actions when he is sober. That will tell you MUCH more.
