There's one other bottom line issue here.
In theory, everyone should have read the Terms of Service and agreed to them before they were granted membership.
If everyone has done that, and they post something that obviously breaks the rules, why would they be surprized when it is deleted?
People have different levels of what they consider objectionable, but the thread I deleted was crude by any "reasonable man" test that I can think of.
One other thing. It is not true (at least for me) that anything that receives an objection is automatically deleted. Instead, I (and most other moderators, I think) read the allegedly offending content and make our best evaluation of it before taking any action.
