I had this happen a while back. My ex and I broke up after I changed schools. We both wanted space and being at the same school wasn't working for me. After a month or so we were still good friends but found ourselves back together even after we both talked about not wanting it anymore. I think it was more of where our comfort level was. We were used to being together and it was hard on both of us. We did this for almost a year until I finally found someone else. I don't regret it but I know at the time I didn't want it to happen all over again.
