I cry every year at the video but this year was especially tough because I know a 14 year old boy going through chemo right now. He has dermoplastic small cell round tumor which is high aggressive and has a very low survival rate. I'm a star bumper so thank goodness I'm not with a PNM during the video (good news for him he started Chemo today!).

I met a couple good girls. One girl I am in love with. Her dad was a greek life member, her mom was his fraternities sweatheart and her grandmother worked for St. Jude so she has been there. She was so easy to talk to. I hope she gets invited back.

Tonights the first night of cuts. I'm so impressed at how great my chapter is doing this year. Our recruitment team is doing such a good job of not getting down on the chapter and just being so so positive.

Of course I"m disappointed in a few girls. I'm sure every chapter has the ones who complain but I'm trying to ignore it. Yesterday we weren't allowed to leave the room for a half hour and instead of helping clean some girls sat at the door and texted on their phones. I understand their tired, but we all are. The more hands we have helping the faster EVERYONE can go home.

My nose and throat are starting to get sick. EEK!

Ugh I always got irritated when I was helping hang decorations while others were talking to their boyfriend on the phone...I had a boyfriend, too, but this was recruitment!
Look at one of them pointedly and ask if they would mind helping you clean tables or something.
