Well, when I was in school, the "club/bar" type hangouts were mostly "on campus" (not our campus, but the Ohio State University campus 10 minutes up the street).
I often ended up at the Garage, which at the time was a gay bar with awesome dance music. Now it's a higher-scale club I think.. haven't been there in years.
By my junior year we had discovered a little bar called the Leipzig Haus just down the street from school, one of those little dive bars with locals & cheap drinks.
Now that I'm out of school, I mostly go to this great place called Mac's. It's a little Scottish pub, with the yummiest bar food & great staff.
Incidentally, I've been to a few Have A Nice Day Cafe's (Pittsburgh & Memphis) & it's a great lil' place!
