Is Letterman the big man on campus? On GLO TVs?

Is Letterman the big man on campus?

by AARON BARNHART

Several noteworthy programs air this week, most of them on other nights. While we wait for them, I thought you should know that:

•_CBS chief Leslie Moonves thinks David Letterman would be beating Jay Leno in the ratings if the Nielsen ratings service would count group viewership at colleges and sports bars.

“He's watched by a lot more people than are watching Leno late at night in frat houses all over America,” Moonves says in an interview in the April Playboy. Perhaps, but “Adult Swim” on Cartoon Network is bigger than both of them. Ratings for the nightly mix of “Family Guy” and “Futurama” reruns top Letterman's and Leno's among teenage and 20-something guys.

Jay Leno, Helen Cushnik, John Agoglia and Warren Littlefield destroyed the hit show Johnny Carson (and Steve Allen) took decades to create.

I probably catch Letterman about 4 nights a week.

After promising myself, of course, that I'm going to go to bed before 11pm every time!

I started watching Letterman in college. I still watch him to this day 3-5 nights per week. I love his dry wit. Much better than Leno IMO.

My roommate had a TV in first year, and she watched Letterman every night.

I have watched David Letterman since he was throwing watermelons off rooftops in the 1980s on NBC.
