I too am shocked and sadden by the death of Ray charles, but I thought just the opposite when I saw him on some awards show a while back. I thought that he looked thin and sick, but I put that with him getting over the hip replacement surgery. I had no idea he had liver disease.

Ok I just read someone 411 list and it states that Vanessa woulnd't particpate in some interview with teh Laker wives. Is there trouble in paradise, and is Halle at the end of this stick?

I heard that Marc Anthony's ex Dayanara will not get much money for alimony and she is forbidden to talk about Marc, Jho, or her kids whether or not she's saying good things or bad things about them or else she will be fined $10,000 every time she does. How in the hell did her lawyers let her sign something like that when Marc definitely has money?

As far as Costco and Sam's, did anyone catch when Oprah went to Costco? She brought tons of designer stuff there for a fraction of the cost. She is now a regular member I hear since members of her staff get together and go on Sundays.

Brandy switches to a religion that many believe is just a cult? She is the first black celebrity I heard of that's into scientology. I guess if that doesn't work she'll head over to the other celebrity religion the Kaballah. I was always raised with the notion of praying being "It may not come when you want it, but it will always be right on time." You are not supposed to just up and change religions because you didn't get what you wanted or "prayed" for. I guess the Norwood family didn't live by that adage.

To be honest, when I saw "Bruce Almighty," I realized that God does have a tough job and that it isn't all about me. Sometimes, you shouldn't get what you pray for. Even though it seems like God is ignoring you, you just have to keep the faith and live on. I will have to research this Scientology and Kaballah because they are all over the place now.

This could be KARMA. Did anyone hear a few years ago that Vanessa and Michael Jordan had an affair? I think this was before she and Rick were married.

this is what i heard she was getting from www.etonline.com :

"The settlement awards Torres $3,500 a month in alimony; $13,000 a month in child support for their two children, CRISTIAN and RYAN; the homes in Miami and San Juan, Puerto Rico; and a BMW and Lincoln Navigator."

i thought i heard she was getting an additional sum of money each month for herself, around $5000, but i didn't see anything in that article.

I heard a clause like this exists with Wil Smith and his ex-wife. I don't know if it's true, but you've never really heard her speak about their divorce.

His ex got paid!! At the time I thought he was done. The amount she received only added fuel to my "he's gay" fire. Man, if he didn't become "Big Willy", he was done after that settlement.
