do the lakers have a chance?

i am looking at Game 3, and it seems the Lakers just cannot get it together against the Pistons. i remember this happening several years ago, when they were against the Kings (it was in 2002). i hope that means that the Lakers will come back and win the championship. but if game 3 is any indication, it aint happening.

Thumbs down

I was taught to spit at the Lakers since I was in the womb.

Detroit...all the way!

The Pistons looked awesome last night! They were weak in the first half of Game 2, but came back in the second half and gave the Lakers a good run for their money. I think the Pistons will do it, but it will be in 7 games. Here's my prediction. The next two games are in Detroit but I think LA will take one of those and the Pistons will take one. (I don't think we'll win 3 in a row, that's all). Then back to LA and the Lakers will take the first one, with the Pistons winning Game 7.

Go Pistons!

Dee

As a Boston Celtics fan, I despise both teams with a passion

However, the Pistons currently employ the services of Tayshaun Prince. This fact alone is enough for me to believe the Pistons will kick some serious Laker tail and win the series.

As a native Michigander I really hope the Pistons win! But I would never dicount the Lakers! I mean, they held Kobe to, what, 1 point in the first half? But as soon as they got a little lax in defending him he started nailing shots. I think the Pistons have to be careful to not let their guard down.

As a good friend always used to tell me:
Offense wins games
Defense wins championships

Go Pistons!

I was surprised as heck. All I've been hearing since the playoffs started was that no one stood a chance against the Lakers.

Good to know that was a myth.

If Detroit keep playing Defense like that, They might have a very good chance of winning the whole thing.

A big part of it is that Malone is hurt and Payton is not playing well at all. Shaq and Kobe are great, but they need the supporting cast.

I'll be honest, I didn't think Detroit had much of a chance; I was guessing they may win 2 out of the series but that's it.

My hatred of the Lakers makes me like the way this series is going though...

Please, please let the Lakers lose!!! I dislike them intensely.

I just think it's funny how everyone was saying "The Pistons have no chance" and then this. HA!

I, quite frankly, am really damn tired of the negative comments about Detroit. I am a Detroiter, and the only city I'd ever choose over Detroit is Brooklyn or New York.

Now, I'm sorry, but what a bunch of friggin sore losers. When you're losing a game.... ok you're upset.... BUT YOU DONT SHOW THE OTHER TEAM THAT ITS GOT YA DOWN!!!!! Dumbasses were sitting there pouting almost the whole game. And then right after Kobe just walks off alone like a little baby.

And Shaq.... why is there so much hype about him? Yeah he's big. I don't know much about basketball but he can't even get a free throw in! But I'll admit that Kobe is pretty damn good.

As a KINGS fan, as soon as they were eliminated, I was rooting for anyone BUT the Lakers to win (because they're the Kings' biggest rivals). So I'm thrilled with the way this series is going

Yes I noticed, I figured it was someone in the booth trying to confuse their bookie or something.
