Holiday Stress Thread
This thread is for everyone who's home for the holidays and needs to unload. Me first....
Sugar Free Reese's Cups: they're assy, but thanks to familial holiday stress, I just polished off about 10 of them. *le sigh*
I miss MisterMadly, the air mattress I have to sleep on has a slow leak (making me have to get up in the middle of the night to re-fill it), and my family dragged my heathen behind off to church tonight under false pretenses.
I need a hug.

I miss mr. jharb and being at school. I also miss my computer at school because this laptop realllllly sucks... I'm also sick of watching christmas specials with my mom and feeling like I'm back in grade school.
I talked to my boy tonight for over an hour and it just made me miss him more. Can't I just not come home for the holidays?

I'm stressed out as well. I'm so broke, but I can't stop spending money. I'm like addicted to shopping. It's bad. And I can't afford to buy everyone gifts. Oh well.....

My main stress is coming from missing my boyfriend and we've been seperated for like a day. I am pathetic what can I say! I don't know why it feels like it's already been weeks since I last saw him, but ::sigh:: I miss him so much.
I also don't have a present for my brother for Christmas b/c he has EVERYTHING KNOWN TO MAN and I don't wtf to get him!!!
I wish I could come home just for Christmas and go back to school right after...

THANK YOU Sistermadly, great idea for a thread!
My online orders are late and I missed the drop off for some in-laws. Now I'll have to MAIL them-UGH!
Not pleased with some of my purchases.
Haven't planned the menues-cooking Christmas Eve and Day!
STILL no gift for my sister.
Don't know how I'm going to pull this one together.
Still don't "feel" it...
Think Christmas HAS gone too commercial-but then, I created my own demons on that!
I want to cry.

I wish I had someone for the holidays. But on the bright side, it's one less present I have to buy!
I'm not feeling stressed right now. Work is easy.
I will be feeling stressed on wednesday though. I'm taking the 24th off and will have to run around with my mum all day doing last minute christmas shopping/groceries/baking etc.
I have to wrap all the presents this year...except my own (but it wouldn't surprise me if I had to wrap my own anyway).
*hugs* to everyone!!

I don't think I've ever been so un-excited about Christmas in my life. I still have to get presents for half my family but since I work like every single day, that's not really possible.

We're nearly halfway through Hanukkah, and Christmas is three days away. So far it isn't looking good for aephi alum...
I have no freaking CLUE what to get for my husband. I still owe him a birthday gift too.
I'm in the process of making two cross-stitch trivets - one for my parents, one for my in-laws. I've finished one and just started on the other. I think my in-laws will be getting their trivet for their anniversary...
My house is only about half decorated. We have an electric menorah in the window (a nice one, not one of those cheesy ones with the orange bulbs). I also put electric candles in each of the other front-facing windows. Are they out yet? A resounding NO!
I want to get a new laptop, and I want to get it before year end so I can take it off this year's taxes. I got all the way through to the "confirm your order" page when the server decided it was down. (Actually, if the reliability of their servers is any indication, maybe I should get my laptop elsewhere... )

Normally, I don't much care but this year I'm joining the "miss my invisible man" group........it just seems different this year for some reason. Even though I haven't been lacking in simple dates.....
Have to finish packing, going to AZ tomorrow night to visit my parents.
Normally, this annual trip is nice and relaxing and just the 3 of us. Lay in the sun, shop with mom a little, watch movies, and do nothing. Not bad.
THIS YEAR, it appears my dad's sister and all of her kids will also be down (cousin in Tucson) so my nice stress free vacation just went to the dogs. I think two are even staying at my parents house. Which I think means I get to sleep in the study (which has NO door) and wake up on mom and dad's early schedule since they won't much care. You'd think retired folks could sleep in a little.
Almost wish I was just staying here.......

Bless MisterMadly's heart for calling me before I go to sleep and when he wakes up in the morning, but his calls are just making me miss him more.
I had a dream that I won the lottery, flew him down here and then took off to Costa Rica by ourselves for Christmas. It seemed so real that when I woke up this morning I actually cried because it was a dream.
This is the most miserable Christmas ever.

Yeah, I'm just not in the Christmas spirit this year. Of course, I never really am...
It's Dec 22 and I've bought 3 presents. I still need several more for my mom, one more for my fiance (which I have NFC what it will be - we were supposed to skip presents and get a MiniDV cam - turns out we're doing both!)
I also need to get something for my mother-in-law to be...I'm thinking something cheesy like a picture frame with a picture of FI and me as babies (yes, we have one) and leave the other side blank for the wedding picture).
Oh, I also realized today I should give presents to the partners in my firm.
I am SO cutting out of here early today!
