Michael vs. Maurice-Who's the fastest?
I don't know about y'all but I really wanted to see them race! I knew that something like that would happen to Michael b/c his hamstring was hurting earlier, but the both of them? No way! I was hurt! I personally think Maurice is faster, but his attitude is soooo ****y! Even though Michael is from my hometwon, I still got luv for him, but I don't know...I also think that the trash talkin' is stupid, but it has made track & field the sport to watch besides tennis and golf. Congrats to Marion-I hope that she reaches her goal of 5 Olynmpic Medals!

It has to be a set up!!! How in the world could both of them stress their left hamstring? I still want to see them race against each other. Hmmm, maybe I can arrange something through Pay-Per-View...

Hello Ladies,
I just wanted to throw my $1920.00 in to this topic if you don't mind. ( My daddy is a HUGE sports fan! I watched a great special on Maurice last night (name of the station is escaping me). I must admit Maurice has a very impressive story. Send him a shout out for me!
Power to both of these brothers. They are EXCEPTIONAL athletes!
Best Regards...

The taunting is really just that. It heats things up for fans sake, money, etc.
Maurice is a close, personal friend of mine and the SWEETEST person you would ever want to know. He's actually really shy and introverted. The taunting is a big show. I am not too thrilled about it, but what can I say?
I do think that the taunting may be sending an inappropriate message to younger runners. I watched a high school invitaional and Long Beach Poly (favored) had one girl on their team...I wanna say she was running the 4x4 meter relay. She was the last leg of the race and when she passed her opponents, she looked at them as she was passing as if to say "Oopps, I'm passing y'all. Perhaps you shoulda stayed home."
I think once you go pro, you can look at whomever however, but when you are still learning, it's best to be as humble as possible. You just never know what's in store for you when you're in 10th grade...even if you are the favorite.

See, I have the brains and the charm, he has speed and brains and thighs- err, sincerity! Yeah...
woo, I was crushed when Maurice pulled up, but not surprised at all. Why run, when your "nemesis" is out?

Yes, Maurice is a cutie pie. I think he would have won the race. I don't think that the strains were a set-up. Come on, we're talking about the Olympics! They were trying so hard to beat one another that they overexerted themselves. That's very unfortunate. But what about old boy that scratched himself out of the finals b/c he figured he didn't have a chance. I think his name is Brian something. I bet he's kickin' himself in the behind right about now!
Michael Johnson is one ugly son of a gun.
How about that Marion/Inger 'rivalry'. I love Marion, she's so laid back. When the race was over, Inger was trying to downplay the 'words' that were going back and forth. She said they're both in this together. My daddy had me on the floor laughing when the newcaster asked Inger what she was trying to accomplish.
My dad goes: "I'm TRYIN' to beat this b*@#%, but I can't!" lol.

His thighs are big and juicy though...I di notice that. He's like a brother but hell, I ain't blind

Yeah I thought Inga's (or however you spell her name) was played down a lot. She acted like there wasn't any beef! Please! She knew she wanted to get her 3 gold medals at the olympics. I saw Marion on Jay Leno show last night. She seems pretty cool! I will definitely watch the Olympics this year!

Ha! I got it. Yes, that doggone Inger Miller knows that she was salty as heck. I think Marion has this one wrapped up. Lol@Spotlight4Delta. I always watch the Olympic events w/Black folks in 'em. I know I'm not the only person that remembers Jair Lynch from 96. He was one flip turning man, ya heard?

Hmmm. Ask him if he's lookin' for a long distance relationship. Pen pal. Something. Can I just get an autographed pic. Sign my name on the thigh. It's J-A-D-A. lol :O

Marion seems cool, but she was half of a home wrecking crew. I mean, being the other woman while in college? I have no respect for that.
And how do you think ex-wifey feels right about now?

I don't think I can knock her for that. Everyone's life has a little drama, and of course, I don't know the circumstances. Personally, I would not want to pursue a relationship with a man who is involved with someone else, but never say never. I can't judge her or anyone else for that matter because 'There, but for the grace of God, go I'. Besides that, it's none of my beeswax. lol
