Dream Wedding
All these wedding threads have got me down and dreamin!
For all the single ladies out there... what do you want your wedding to be like? Post a pic of the style of wedding gown you want too!
For my wedding... I want the traditional huge Italian style. Sit down dinner of surf n turf (even tho I hate seafood, but it went off well with the guests at my graduation party!). I went red, yellow, white, and of course PINK roses all over the place. I want a tiara as my headpiece with a veil trimmed in very little gold. My dress will be white, 3/4 bell sleeves, and bits of gold all over-- but not too much. And if I marry an Italian, I want my song to be Umberto Tozzi's "Ti Amo".... but a non Italian, From This Moment.
And my groom? Well my dream would be for him to be some hot, dark Italian who treats me like a princess!
Hey... sounds crazy but every girl has her dream wedding already picked out!

Me neither. Am I the only one who doesn't think about baby names or wedding dresses? Sometimes I even fantasize about eloping to Vegas, 'cause I'm not feeling wedding drama.

Same here!
I mean, I'll talk about it if the topic comes up, but I'm far from subscribing to Bridal magazines!
I've actually only gone to 3 weddings in my entire life! NONE of my friends are anywhere close to getting married...
Hmm, maybe I need a new crowd??

I never daydreamed about my wedding until I actually got engaged and needed to start planning one! I had no idea what I wanted, which is making the planning process a little stressful. It's coming along though, and I think it will be a nice wedding.

I'm torn. Sometimes I think that I really want to settle down, get married, and have children. When my bf has brought up the subject, I really have no interest in discussing it. I don't know if it is me or if he isn't the right guy. I just am not interested in marriage now, and I am happy with the way things are.

How is this:
Fantasy: Wedding at St. Patrick's Cathedral my sisters as my bridesmaids. A horse drawn carriage takes me to my reception at the Waldorf Astoria, the Pierre, or the Plaza wih 300 of my closest friends and family as guests.
Reality: Wedding at my parish church which was on the Sopranos when Carmella talks to the priest in the first season. It is a beautiful Roman Catholic church with lots of stained glass where my parents were married. A small, elegant reception with close friends and family.
This style dress. (Not exactly this dress, but it is as close as I can find.)

this thread came along at the right time for me. before all of the wedding threads started popping up, my mind has been long gone when i fantasize about my wedding. it will be small and sweet. i am torn between a beach wedding and a wedding in this garden type clubhouse here in town. i want to get married soon.
i have my dress, cake, flowers, and centerpieces, etc. all planned. *sigh*

I haven't really put much thought into it, but I've always wanted to be barefoot on the beach somewhere on the west side shores of Oahu, getting married at sunset.
I'd have a haku lei around my head and he'd wear a maile lei draped around his neck.
No expensive brand name wedding gowns for me. I opt for a cheaper, traditional wedding holoku:
or even a Marilyn Monroe-esque backless halter is cute:
