I was just thinking about her...
A few months after her passing a friend of mine (who is from Germany) named her daughter Aaliyah (she was a major fan of hers)
She was definitely "One in a Million"

Every August 25th(since her passing), my husband and I dance to One in a Million and watch her videos. I coulddn't figure out why we were watching the Matrix Reloaded until I really thought about it. I STILL miss her. It is like there is this gaping hole in music and videos because she is gone.

yeah, i couldn't watch it either. she was so pretty and "one in a million" and "rock the boat" will forever by my jams.

I SO miss Aaliyah too. Most of these other R&B chicks out there now lack the style and class that she had...Not to mention the singing talent

does anyone have Brandy's new cd? the last song makes mention of her, Monica and Aaliyah, about how at one point in the industry they were the only female singers in R&B music (94-96). She goes on to say that she wished that Baby Girl was still here so that Tim and she could still be working together.. It was touching..

I'm sitting her listening to Aaliyah's last CD, Aaliyah. I love this CD and it makes me sad to think that next month it will be 4 years that she's been gone. I really liked her as an artist.
