Best Experience Visiting Another Chapter?

What is the best experience anyone has had while visiting an Alpha Phi (or other GLO I guess) chapter/house? Personally I have been to 5 other A Phi houses and I have to say that *most* of them were good experiences...heh. Although I feel like a dork sometimes, every time I drop by another chapter house and ask "hey can I see your house?" the sisters always oblige and are soooo nice!! My goal is to try and visit every Alpha Phi house in California before I graduate, hehe.

I also wanted to say that I visited a Kappa Alpha Theta house at Indiana University (with a friend) while wearing letters and I thought I might get some static but they were super nice to me, too! I guess greek unity does mean something in some places.

So tell us any positive experiences you have had with other chapters!

I have been to the Lambda house, we used their house for initiation, and they were SUPER sweet, whenever I am in Berkley I try and stop by and say hi to the girls there. Also for a while our girls and Beta Psi (SJSU) were hanging out a lot so we were out there often and kicked it with them all the time. I am not sure that Eta Theta has a house but.... the girls there are really nice, one year, I think it was fall 2001 we went and helped them rush, and in return for our pref nite, they came back to help us out. That's why I like being a Bay Area chapter there are SOOOOO many sisters around you just don't know what to do with yourself. I wonder are any other chapters like that as well. I mean are there other chapters out there who are in an area where there are lots of A. Phi chapters around?

A couple of sisters and I took off to Austin from San Antonio one late Friday night. At about 3-4am we get to the Omega house. We'd never been inside, so we were looking in the windows. We saw a man sitting inside (security) so one of my chapter sisters knocked on the door. We told him we were A-Phi's from San Antonio and wanted to know if we could see the house. He told us we could only see the downstairs area. As we were looking around, some of the Omega girls were just getting in. They took us upstairs and showed us around. The girls were super nice. Noticing how late it was, they offered to let us stay the night, but we told them we were going to head back to San Antone. The Omega girls have always been extremely nice to us Iota Beta gals. We have nothing but good things to say about them. A couple of them also taught a few of my chapters gals a chant.

No, Eta Theta has no house....there is a law that says you can't have any sorority/fraternity houses in San Francisco. Plus housing is too expensive anyways hehe. That's interesting you helped Fall 2001, cuz that's when I rushed. What chapter are you from?

Ohhh ok. good stuff, I went on a SWAT trip to Tahoe with a bunch of girls from that chapter a while back - you guys are bomb! They were all really nice to me...cuz I ended up having to go on the bus alone (bad communication between travelers).

Yea one of our girls was the rep from SWAT to get ppl from the greek system to go on the trip. I was supposed ot go but I had to work

The girls that went are my party crew

They were definatley crazy girls

(like almost all alpha phi's I know). That was a really fun trip.

I was with satxaphi when we went to the Omega House and I have to say it was breathtaking considering we don't have a house at Iota Beta

Oh well. I was wondering if there are any Omega girls or Tech Girls out there volunteering to give me and my little sis some company in a road trip. My little sis has never seen any of the houses and I wanted to take her to either Omega or Tech to see it! I've seen both and it's cool. So if there are any sisters from those chapters that I can chat to arrange a visit I'd appreciate it!!
