I love older ladies!

I just better say that I love old people, since I'm a geriatric counselor! They can be really precious, and terribly interesting at times! Oh, the stories they can tell!!!

I was fortunate enough to get to know one of our chapter's founders - and found out that she was the principal of one of my first bosses! (He was terribly impressed!) Another one of our alumnae regaled us with stories of actress wannabes who lived in the ADPi house during the 50's. Her best stories were about Shirley Jones, and she always ended with "The last time I saw her, she was in her bra & panties and talking on the upstairs phone!"

Our oldest active alumna is from the class of 1928, and very active! I don't think the chapter can hold anything that doesn't require a date without Betty showing up! She's such a dear - I can only hope that people think that well of me when I'm 95!!

I wish that all of the alums who think "Eh, I'm 60/70/80. I'm too old to be active & besides, those young girls don't want me around anyways!" could see this thread. We learn so much from these older alum and everyone seems tickled pink when they take the time to share with us! This just proves that it isn't just a 4 year ride.


(We would probably have to leave out the term "old ladies" though. )
