Is It Possible????
Hello everyone! I am new to this forum. However, I have a question. When I started college, I went to a school that had fraternities and sororities. At the time I didn't know that much about greek organizations. Now I attend a community college and was wondering if it is still possible to join a sorority even though it isn't offered at my school? Would I have to attend a school that does, or can I do it at another school while attending this community college??

I know the opposite works sometimes. If you joined one while at a college that has them, if you go to community college you'd be welcome as a member if you returned. As for joining one and not being part of the university, I do not think it is possible, sorry.

Most national groups require you to be enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited institution delivering 4-year degrees.

Sometimes, depending on the organization, you can pledge at another school. It depends on the org's policy.
For example, the sorority may have a metropolitan chapter in that city, where as long as you are a matriculated student at an accredited 4 year institution, you can apply for membership. Or, with the same stipulations, some orgs will allow you to pledge at a school in the area, if you don't have a chapter at your school.
You'd really hve to look into each and every org's policies. Like if you have an idea of what you want to join, or some familiar sorority names, you can start there. (This info should be on everyone's national homepage. If not, there is usually an email address, mailing adress, or telephone number you can use for more information.)

This is definitely the case for membership in Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated which is a NPHC organization.
