Could this year just END already?!!
This year has been nothing but hell for me and mine.
- My husband's great-aunt died
- I got laid off
- My husband's company cancelled raises
- A 200-year-old oak tree took out a good chunk of my parents' house and nearly killed them, my husband, and me
And just this morning, on my way to work, I lost control of my car and am now looking at a $3600+ repair bill. (Thankfully, I am unhurt, and well insured!)
At midnight next Tuesday, I will be saying, not "Happy New Year", but "Thank God it's over!"
I know there are people out there who have had a much rougher year than I've had, but still... ugh.
Hope you all had a better 2002 than I did, and here's to a better 2003

2002 did rather suck..
- my fiance and i ended a long term thing, i was too young ot be in it anyway, but it hurt.
- my doggie died
- one of my best friends moved in with her old man boyfriend (12 years older than her), lost her job, car, and family for this. i hardly ever talk to her.
BLAH to 2002... here comes 2003.. let it be a good one!!!!

On the O/C thread someone metioned an "even and odd" compulsion. Well, I'm an "odd" person!!!
Yep, I'm lookng forward to 2003, but it will bring so many changes at home with my son leaving the nest and being a "couple" again. I wonder if I am ready, REALLY ready to be without my last "baby". It kind of scares me.

Yep, I can relate.
*My father passed away
*My boyfriend and I broke up
*Didn't get three jobs I applied for
*Lost my apartment and have to move
2001 was a kick ass year for me, 2003 WILL BE MY YEAR!!!!!!!!!
My plans:
*Getting laid
*Getting a kick ass new place to live
*Meeting a fabulicious new man
*Lots o' traveling (Aruba, NYC, Jamaica, FL, Las Vegas, and HOPEFULLY London)
*Getting laid (Yeah, I said it twice, IT'S A BIG GOAL!)
*Getting a new job
*Finishing my book and getting published

2002
*My chapter recieved charter after 3 years
* No problems personally, at home, at school
* Paid off my car
No problems here with 2002 but 2003 will be VERY interesting. Get to graduate and apply to graduate programs (FUN!)

2002 Must End!!!
Yeah 2002 two has been a pretty shitty year for me too, and most of it in the last coupler of months.
-dropped out of school because of personal and finacial reasons
-extremely in debt
-had to move back in with my parents
-can't find a job
Hopefully 2003 will be better

2002-Gooooodddd bye!!!!!!!!
I agree w/ everyone else 2002 sucked!!!! I decided at the beginning of the year that I didn't want to live anymore....on the other hand I didn't want to die....so I guess that equaled "just being here and taking up space". A year of my life wasted. Nothing accomplished. Maybe just maybe in 2003 i'll get the courage to start living again and have the strength to get back up if I "fall"...even flat on my face.

Ups and Downs
I had a relatively good year this year!
* started a new graduate program
* started the alum initiation process
* lost 75 lbs (with still some to go)
* got four As my first term in grad school
* got a job
* became a legal Canadian resident
But even with all the good stuff, I'm ready for 2003 to start! Hopefully I'll become a member of a sorority in 2003, and I hope to finish grad school, enter the workforce, buy a condo, and a new car next year!

JAM,
Ya know, our youngest started college out of state this year, and, while we miss him, it hasn't been so bad. He's very happy and doing well, we think.
It helps that the two girls and grand baby (husbands, too, obviously) all live reasonably close by.
We celebrated the "empty nest" by moving to a new one -- which is great!
Now, I just hope the economy improves so my jobs won't keep being eliminated (happened this last year for a second time) and we can pay for it!
Happy New Year!
