I haven't started shopping yet really, but tomorrow i'll go

I bought my dad the first season of the simpson's on DVD...but i need to get him something else cuz the 25th is also his b-day

Luckily my brother is out of the country - so he gets a big nothing, except a phone call

grandparents and aunts will prolly get Maple syrup gift baskets since I live in the "Maple Capital of the World"....i just got to find a store that sells the stuff...

I've no clue for my two best friends/sisters and my cousin.
I was going to buy them stationery - a subtle hint for them to keep in touch...but now i'm thinking something more

any ideas? esp i need something for my daddy.

does this count as giving?

Me and fraternity did our first anual week of giving, in cooperation with toys for tots. We bought a couple bikes and some toys and collect toy and cash donations. I'll let you know tomorrow how much we beat our goal by. I was just out there in subzero temperature. It didn't cost me anything except time, but I feel really good about it. Those little kids will be thrilled. Also, one guy walked by and told us he really appreciated us being out there. And then one guy gave us props and made us promice to keep rocking out. my face is red. I'm going to go thaw out now.
So, if you see charity workers, just thank them, it will make them feel warmer, even you cant spare the change.

I wish I could procrastinate on the shopping! Hubby's birthday happens to be Dec. 18, though, so I have to figure things out way early. Besides, it's been a while since I was in college.

He's getting new jeans and some shirts for that.

Plus, I have to shop for men, since they dominate the family. That's always so hard for me.

So...

Thanks to the GC'er who gave me this idea... all of my brothers' kids (the teenagers, anyway) are getting movie passes with coupons for popcorn or a drink.

I'm making peanutbutter fudge for my dad and probably my youngest brother. The brother may get no bake cookies, though. Haven't quite decided on that one. Sister-in-law will just have to share.

My oldest brother gets chocolate mint fudge.

I got my mom an artificial poinsettia, which she asked for, and a commemorative teddy bear if I can find her one. (This year is the 100th anniversary of the teddy bear, and she's been talking about it ALL year.)

I got my husband an etched mirror from Cabela's that has 2 wolves in the glass to hang in his hunting room. I'm going to repaint "his" room for him, too.
