I was just curious about this one...

Girls, do you like to wear special lingerie for your boyfriends/husbands on special occasions or "just because?" Do you do it because he likes it, or because it makes you feel sexy, or both?

Guys, how much do you really like it when your girlfriend/wife dresses up for you? What kind of stuff do you really like; classy, sexy, or fantasy-type stuff (the French maid, etc)?

I know my girlfriend wears this pink thing I really like

There are certain pieces I save for special occassions only and I wear them for both reasons...to feel good about myself and for him.

I have a friend who wears matching colored undergarmets everyday and makes sure they look awesome. To me, there's no excitement then. Sure, I'd love to have everything match but that gets expensive. Oh well

I'll save my nice stuff for the special times.

I really don't care for all that expensive underwear. I mean serious...the only time I'll see it is when we are about to get it on...and the only thing I'm worried about is takin off all the clothes.

I'm one of those girls who HAS to have cute, matching underwear on all the time (except on the days when I decide to just not wear any

). It just makes me feel sexy. It doesn't really matter if I have a boyfriend at the time or not.

Here's what's funny. I've always loved pretty bras, corsets, etc.; I have a blast dressing up in stuff from Victoria's Secret and Frederick's of Hollywood. My first serious boyfriend was thrilled to find out what was in my dresser and we had lots of fun with my clothes. But my more recent boyfriend was totally uninterested by lingerie. You name it, it bored him...we're talking garter belts, stockings, it all left him cold. He would say, "It's just in my way!" and take everything off without a second glance.

Result? Dressing up wasn't any fun for me! I didn't realize how much of the fun came from watching my boyfriend's reactions. It was such a blast to flash the garter and watch him light up like a kid on Christmas morning! When I was with a guy who didn't care, I stopped caring, too.

So I don't know whether it's more accurate to say that I like to wear lingerie for him or for me. I do it because I like it when he likes it.

It's as much for her as it is for me.. I think anything that makes her feel more sexy/desirable is great. And sure it looks good.

I had a weird admirer off the net who would buy me really cool lingerie and send it to my PO Box (no I did NOT give him my address, or my real name!). If they were still in original packaging I would wear them, if not, no way! The cool part was he had really good taste, and my boyfriend loved when I'd surprise him with the latest that had shown up in my box!

i'm a big fan of matching, also.. i hate wearing a a white bra and like red undies. eek...
usually they are the same material and stuff.. if not they look good together

you're right, AGDPrincess, it does make you feel sexy.

What about if it matches but doesn't?

Here's what I mean: I have some bras/pairs of underwear that didn't have a match available for whatever reason. So is it still a turn-off if you find something that coordinates well but may not be an exact match?

For example, I have a really cute pair of underwear that's white with cherries on it. It didn't have a matching bra, so I'll wear it with a white or red one made out of similar fabric.

While I believe in the power of matching, I've always wondered if guys are just against a bright green bra/white granny panties combo, or if it has to match perfectly.

AXOLiz, we generally don't care if it is an exact match or not, but you did mention granny panties. I don't care what bra you chose, or if you decide to go without, the granny panties are not a big turn on in my book. There is always the option of skipping the bra then you don't have to worry about matching and that gets a definate thumbs up from me.

i would love to have matching bra/panty sets. problem is i have a chest that is too big to buy bras in a regular store. one bra costs me anywhere from $25 - $60 depending on brand and quality. and boy do they look ugly. i have what i like to call my front loader that has 7 hooks in front. i only own 3-4 bras at one time b/c i can't afford more and they are hard to find. basically i try to at least match as best i can. i have really cute fun underwear, but no matching bras so i can only feel partly sexy. although, black lacey everything works too i guess.
