Took me roughly a minute to fit the words to the melody. Damn it's been a long time since I heard "Hot in Herre"

Sorority colors is how I initially became a New Orleans Saints fan.

Last year when they were in the Super Bowl, I didnt know who to cheer for, so I thought, well both Kappa Alpha Theta and Beta Sigma Phi have black & gold as their colors. The Saints are black & gold, so I will cheer for them.

It worked! The Saints won! There are some other reasons as to why I have stayed a fan, but colors is how I became a fan. I'll probably end up cheering for the Steelers for the same reason!

Hah! I've seen that before. In my head, I was thinking this:

My sorority's mascot is the siamese cat...we eventually gave up finding "cute" cat gifts, and just began collecting "Ugly Cat Gifts", which each class presents at their activation. The house is full of the the most terrifyingly ugly siamese cats I have ever seen. There are more than a few that we hide before house tours so we don't scare off the PNMs.

Instead of snapping, my chapter does ditto ticking as well- pointer and middle finger together and shaking your wrist. Or in conversation if we agree we say "ditto ticks to that." The best is when you wear a bunch of bracelets or a charm bracelet because then your ditto tick can be heard.

You know you're a sorority member (specifically an Alpha Chi) when you see red and green together and think of AXO before thinking Christmas

You know you're a sorority member when you rotate at parties. It actually surprises me that people don't do this more often. At my high school class reunions, lots of people just spend the whole night in the same little knot of people, when you'd think they'd take the opportunity to mingle more, considering we don't see each other very often.

Every Sunday, at church, when we sing the doxology, I have to remind myself to say the real words, and not the Alpha Xi Grace version that we sang before meals....

Be present at our table, Lord
Be here and everywhere adored
These mercies bless and grant that we
May feast in paradise with thee

God bless our dear fraternity
May we e'er united be
May our quill reign eternally
Alpha Xi Delta, prasies thee.

The KDs on my campus ditto. It's a hand motion (like your pointer and middle finger move up and down), they do it at open pan and other greek events. We all call it the KD Ditto, and will occasionaly make "the ditto" the funny part in the story . But what is even funnier is when I went on fall break with a couple of KDs (it was a large group of friends and representatives from 3 fraternaties and 4 sororities; needless to say we got some weird their all in different letter looks but that a differnt story) and they started to ditto at a restaurant and had to explain what in the world they were doing to the waiter... it was hilarious.

You explain people's personalities in terms of which house they would join. (e.g. You don't know Suzy? Well she would probably be an XYZ, with the looks of ABC thrown in the mix!)

I think it was a tradition left over from the early years since we certainly weren't still using Ditto paper. We NEVER snapped!
We ditto here! I'm glad we aren't the only ones. The KD chapter is the only one on my campus to ditto, so it is always a little weird since everyone else snaps. When I was a rho gamma I started snapping so my PNMs wouldn't know what chapter I was from.
