Question Theme Songs

A la Ally McBeal...Do you have a Theme/Empowerment Song? What is it and why is it important to you/why does it relate to you?

Mine is Who I Am by Jessica Andrews. This is my "theme song" because I think I've done a lot of growing in the past year. When I'm having a bad day, etc., I can put this song on and say "hey, at least I know who I am and that everything will blow over eventually."

My theme song changes all the time, especially according to which "episode" of my life we're dealing with. With my one ex, my theme song is "Foolish" by Ashanti. With my other ex, when it looks like we're gettin back together, it's Shania Twain's "Still the One", and when we end up not gettin back together it's Phil Collins "Against the Odds". With my life in the Greek System, currently I have self-proclaimed Eminem's "Without Me", cuz the Greek System "would be so empty without me" and sometimes "needs a lil bit of controversy". Hence my Phi Mu Mock Award of Drama Queen!

Well the song I jokingly choose for myself is "lovin' machine" by Jon Spencer Blues Explosion...

Of course everyone knows that I never pull any ass, and that I try way too hard to meet girls ...anyways the song just rocks and would sound good everytime if it was played whenever I walked into a room...

Jodee Messina's "I'm Alright" is my theme song (and the girls in my chapter totally know it!):

"I'm stuck in the middle where money gets tight, but I guess I'm doin' alright..."

I like Jessica Andrews' "Who I Am", also!

My mom tells me that "Who I am" is my theme song. She says this because it seems like I always have problems but I know that I always have my family.

When this song came out, one of my mom's co-workers told my mom that this song really reminded her of me. She labeled it my song.

Last summer one of my co-workers told me that my signature song was "Six Pack Summer" by Phil Vassar.

My pledge mom told me that my signature song is "She don't know she's beautiful" by Samme Kershaw.

My Alpha Phi family song is "In the Middle" by Jimmy Eat World.

My personal pick would be "Some Days You Gotta Dance" by the Dixie Chicks.

personal theme song: "Material Girl" (I'm not materialistic, I just have always loved this song...it's lighthearted...and maybe it applies to me a teeny bit, boy-wise)
being back home: "Take it to the house"
cheer-up song: "Build Me Up Buttercup"
going out with the sisters: "Get Rowdy," "Roll Out," "Pour some sugar on me"
Spring Break: "Margaritaville"
frat party nights: "Number One" (only b/c of one particular time)
being with my fave sisters: "Girlfriend" (we all just love it!!)

can't remember the others...

Bump

My theme song is "Someday I'll Be Saturday Night" by Bon Jovi.

As bad as I feel sometimes, I know it's going to get better.

"Changes in Lattitudes, Changes in Attitudes" by the one and only Jimmy Buffett. These lines sum up my life....

Oh, yesturdays are over my shoulder,
So I can't look back for too long.
There's just too much to see waiting in front of me,
and I know that I just can't go wrong
with these

changes in lattitudes, changes in attitudes
nothing remains quite the same.
With all of our running and all of our cunning,
If we couldn't laugh, we would all go insane.

I don't think I have a theme song, but if I did, it would probably be Louie Louie because even though I know the words -- I still can't understand them when I hear it.
