*whew*

The way you worded it, I thought it was going to be a list of women asked back to pref parties, not actual bids.

Per the Panhellenic recruitment chair, there are already 90 pnms signed up for recruitment at Jacksonville University! In my years there, there were never that many girls signed up so early! I'm hoping for high quota numbers

Just heard that the Kappas at Arkansas took 105 girls. I do not know what is listed as the official quota yet.

Bid Day is today.

Wow.

Is that some sort of a record?

I have never seen quota higher than the 90s at any school.

Tri Delt took 101, I believe. I have to think quota is a bit lower than 102 but I am trying to confirm that. The rumor going into pref was the classes would be in the 90's.

Chapters were scrambling putting together an additional 10 or more goodie bags this morning for new members! What a crazy mess!

Arkansas panhellenic needs to start working on an answer to this. Please, people!

I was wondering whether or not it's a record.

I kind of think there MIGHT be a few guys pledge classes that were bigger (namely FSU Pike), but it might be the biggest pledge classes for a sorority ever. Arkansas and Ole Miss already vied for largest sorority chapters (and, if I'm not mistaken fraternity chapters) in terms of numbers, but this is unbelievable. Someone earlier told me a quota of 92, but I have no idea how quota works. Is it possible that that one special house still brought in 50 some? Would that affect it?

And this problem will be fixed as soon as a national sorority steps up and builds a house. I'm praying for Phi Mu/DG/Theta, but who knows.

Because when something bad happens in a really big car – accidentally speeding through the middle of a gang of unruly young people who have been taunting you in a drive-in restaurant, for instance – it happens very far away – way out at the end of your fenders. It's like a civil war in Africa; you know, it doesn't really concern you too much. - P.J. O'Rourke

I'm pretty sure those are the largest numbers I have ever heard. Obviously Ole Miss has had some high numbers (Believe it was 2003 year quota was in the 90s at Ole Miss)...but no one at Ole Miss has pledged over 100 since I've been around....Ole Miss is expecting high numbers again but not sure it will hit 100 unless it is due to quota additions.

Between AL and AR this has been a HUGE year for #s in the SEC!
