To completely get back on track- I was reading my kids the book "Panda Bear Panda Bear what do you see" last night, and I thought it would make a really cute panhellenic shirt- on the front it could say "sorority recruitment- what do you see?" , and on the back could say "We see a Panda Bear (AOII), a Lion (Phi Mu or ADPi), a Crown (ASA or ZA), a Turtle (DZ) etc. liiving in Greek Harmony, that's what we see (or something like that).

I assure you that Phi Mu (so, burburry, please stop making people think this) at Penn State has a lot of respect for ALL of the NPC organizations. As far as AOE goes, I'm sorry if your GLO was put down. You know that I respect that GLO, as well as, you. I wish you luck with your Engineering degree and know you will do great!

So, wait. She is a Phi Mu?!

We're not thinking that somehow her opinion reflects on anyone else's or Phi Mu's as a whole, but she's more than "just upset."

Wow. I am really bummed that things have turned this way. She and I have been talking on PM about recruitment and Greek Sing. Not once did she say one negative thing about another NPC. That is why I am really confused. I haven't really been around lately, so I had no idea what was going on. She sent me a PM telling me how upset she was with people. I had no idea what she was talking about, so I told her not to let people get her upset. Then I brought up how, as a Penn Stater, she helps the rest of Greek life raise tons of money for THON and how I am PROUD of my girls at Beta Mu (and the rest of the Greeks at Penn State).

I then just read this and sent her another PM letting her know I'm not pissed she said my name (because it's not a secret) but, that while I am happy she is proud to be a Phi Mu, EVERY NPC has something great to offer. I then told her that there are campuses with incredible Sigma Kappa chapters (one of my friends is from a chapter in Ohio) and that she needs to not say such harsh things about the other NPC GLOs on here. I am truly sorry if anyone was offended by her.

I feel compelled to say that you're missing the absolute insanity. Her opinions on Sigma Kappa or any other non-elite 5 sorority are meaningless.

This isn't really a matter of misplaced Phi Mu pride or something.

Oh, wow. First, I have no idea how you made that frog thing but, I think it's pretty damn cool. Second, I am very upset that someone would talk to other members of the NPC about how "low" their sorority is. Once again, I know that I am not alone in my sorority, when I say that the NPC has something to offer everyone. I may not like every member of every NPC (or any other GLO, for that matter) but, I would not let my opinion of that person jade my opinion of the organization as a whole. I sure hope no one is doing that with my GLO, right now.

I also wanted to mention that when I said I was happy that she was proud to be a Phi Mu, I didn't mean it made what she said acceptable. I also didn't mean for that to come off as condescending. I hope that EVERY person on this board is proud of their GLO. You should be, or you probably shouldn't have joined. I am terribly sorry that someone who doesn't even know the people on this board enough to even have anything really nasty to say to them, has said such harsh things while representing my GLO. I will make sure the Advisor of my chapter will have a discussion with the girls in the Fall about the Panhellenic unity we should have for one another. I like to think this was a horrible lapse of judgment on her part because this is a very unfortunate situation. I apologize.
