I don't know what our rules for pin wear are, but it hasn't been an issue yet since we haven't gotten the pins yet. I think its only when dressed in formal attire (i.e. shirt and tie).

if we need them to, they take off their pins and pin them on the inside of their pants pocket.

We don't have to wear a pin during Sigma or Phi, but we very often have our binders for interviews and signatures.

This discussion has been had many times at GC, like here: Pledge Pin Requirements.
Short version: one of the differences between most fraternities and NPC sororities. (Although I, too, remember when pledges to NPC sororities wore their pledge pins all the time.)

Thanx, and the discussion even included somewhat the 5 "S's".

We expect pledges to wear the pin at all times on a nice shirt or Rush shirt.
The only times they shouldn't wear it is during the 4 S's,
and this is to show respect to the pin,
and in turn the fraternity.

Most of you have hit on the nose:
Sleeping
Sex
Slurring (drinking)
Shower
Sport
Smoked (drugs)
oh yea and Silk (nice clothing that can get ruined by a pin)

Any of the other fraternities have to warn their pledges about sorority girls stealing their pins?

Everyone's pledge pins and binders are fair game here...
I tried hiding my dbag roommate's pin when he pissed me off Freshman year, but he found it.
