My friends who are in these houses have been inviting me to dinner, but I don't know if this means I'm being recruited or If I'm just hanging out with my friends and with their sorority sisters. I'm interested in joining a sorority, and I'm happy to be hanging out with some of my friends, but I just don't want to get my hopes up about getting a bid.
So since recruitment in the spring is VERY informal, I don't know if I'm being recruited or if I'm just hanging out. If anyone has experienced informal this way or if your sorority also recruits in a very informal way.. I'd like any advice or thoughts I can get. Thanks

No one here will be able to tell you whether or not you're "being recruited" or just being asked to dinner. Just go anyway, be friendly, be yourself, and if they happen to invite you to join their sisterhood.. great! If not, then you were able to meet some new people, and possibly make a good first impression when formal recruitment rolls around next semester.
