Well at least she is not using student loans or asking for handouts

Yeah she is SO in denial! Her ex husband is thanking his lucky stars that he got rid of her ass.
Fertility issues can really wreak havoc on a marriage, if the 2 of you are not on the same page
There is no way in the world that that woman can tell me that she had NO challenges with raising her kids while in college and on public assistance.
LIES.
The more I watch this, the angrier I get at the DOCTOR who did this.
He clearly did not follow the ethical standards for IVF procedures.
I bet the next thing that happens is that he'll lose his license to practice medicine.
I've done a lot of personal research on infertility and reproductive technology lately. Apparently, the women in my family haven't had the easiest time conceiving kids (says the gal whose parents have 17 siblings between them!), so I figured I'd get educated on this stuff in the chance that I'd need the information. Plus, a lot of it's just really interesting.

good idea! And just because the other women in your family get knocked up when a man breathes on them, doesn't necessarily mean you will (I know this ALL too well)
But back to topic. After having the 6 kids, she had 2 failed IVFs where they planted 6 embryos each
What the hell is that doctor thinking? She is under 35 and implanted 6 embryos?
And it looks like his fertility clinic has a low success rate.
I wonder if his practice has a website?

No, but she does!

RE: my family, it took the women in my family years before they actually did get pregnant, but once they did, it was crazy! There are also long stretches between kids, which is also a sign of infertility and rare ovulation.

That pink heart with the "donate here!" button is AWFULLY prominent on the main page.

I do have an aunt who had 14 pregnancies which started with 6 miscarriages then 1 baby who died within 24 hours of birth and THEN 7 children. The oldest surviving one, Billy, was spoiled rotten I tell you. There were massive celebrations when he was born healthy. From there on, she had about one every year or two. She is pregnant in every single family photo from like 1952 to 1966!

I think about this ALL the time with families of multiples!
What happens when all of your teens want cell phones, cars, cool clothes, spending money, etc? I mean one teen saying "Mom can I have $20 to go to a movie?" is cool, but $20 x 6 really adds up.
Don't even get me started on college for that many kids.
I know that Jon and Kate Gosselin have said that because of the TV show, their books and speaking tours, they'll probably be able to send all 8 of their kids to college.
She'd better get to pitching a TV show and hope someone likes the idea, lol.

I believe the interview said she was maxed out of student loans. She already owes more than $50,000.
Unless I had a home with a mortgage, I would not be able to sleep at night if I owed ANYONE 50,000! Even if you can consolidate it
And you have to PAY LOANS BACK. Even if this woman lands a job that makes $60K a year right out of school (not likely?) she is going to have one hell of a time living on that for her kids AND paying back all those loans.

Nice.
I believe she's already asked Medi-Cal (the California Health insurance system) to pay the NICU tab for the 8-babies.

Somehow, I don't think a show is an option for her. Who'd watch? Not me. And who would want their product associated with what promises to be a spectacular train wreck?

Just imagine how far 20 dollars will go 10 years from now when the first set reach puberty...heh!
Here is my question: What if out of all 14 of these kids NONE of them do anything spectacular with their lives or worse yet, repeat the mistakes of their mother?
Not that I wish ill upon them, but just the idea of having kids is to leave a part of yourself here after you are gone and hoping that they improve upon what you gave while you were here.
It's just something to think if none of these children wind up ill equipped to live up to a good potential due to their mom's obsession.
...maybe I am thinking too far out left field.

I will admit that I feel badly for the babies - especially the two who seem to have something wrong with their eyes.
As for the one who someone thought was named McCai - it looks more like Micah to me. With so many other minor prophets' names, it would fit in - but that font has to go!
