ABCF Greek last night...
Do you ever watch this show? It's my guilty pleasure! I know there has been some controversy about it but I think it's pretty well done.
Anyway, I was watching last nights show and the 'Zeta Beta Zeta's' were at their national convention. Their Grand President starts her speech by introducing herself as 'Mary Beth Gentry Manning!' What?! I had to rewind that and make sure I caught that one!
And then, the Grand President talks about how they were the 'first secret sorority for women founded in 1857.'
Hmm....me thinks that there is an ADPi involved with this show!!

I know that one of the writers is an ADPi, but I don't know her name or which chapter she is from!

im assuming that many different groups use similar songs/tunes, but i thought the ZBZ song they sang sounded eerily like one of ours! Now it totally makes sense!

Chatted with one of my sisters who is an EO officer also. She said that one of the writers is for sure an ADPi. Possibly from a chapter in Virginia?

i figured out who the sister is. She is from the Zeta Xi chapter at Virginia. I just don't want to put her full name out. but go to IMDB, click on the most recent episode and check out the writers. Her name is Amy. =D

i've noticed lots of subtle things in ZBZ scenes that remind me of ADPi, some of which have caught me off guard.

A bunch of the sisters from my chapter watch it together and we definitely remarked on the similarities of the songs!
It makes so much more sense now!

OMG - I just saw the convention episode and the first think that I did was rewind to make sure she said Beth Gentry Manning too -ssoooo close I knew there was no way it was a coincidence, and they had the same processional to open convention and started singing I love the pink you let me wear....I jumped on Greekchat to prove to myself I wasn't going bonkers. Greek is my guilty pleasure too....and I love being represented. Its like little "shout outs" that only we get, or throwing the secret sign.
Cool beans.
It was so fun to get on the message board and see that you all mentioned it!
