5. Texas
LSU won so why would they drop lower than last week. I don't think Penn State is gonna be there yet...maybe #6.

I think Oklahoma will move to #1.

AGDee, I agree with you. I thought Wisconsin had it in the bag.
I couldn't believe the UGA/Bama game. That was after I watched UofM/Wisconsin and OleMiss/Florida.

What a day for games! That is what I love about college football. "It ain't over 'til the fat lady sings".

I think that Saban has enough enemies to see Bama stay a little lower. My guess is
1. Oklahoma
2. Mizzou
3. LSU
4. Bama
5. Texas

I couldn't agree more.

But these rankings effing reek, stink, and more.... I can't believe I was so right about what would happen between UGA and USC.

BTW, I agreed with your earlier post on why you love college football so much. This is exciting and completely unpredictable stuff!

However, Ole Miss has a lot more games to win before they even enter the Top 25. They've done well this season, but they've got far to go in the SEC.

Bama played a very impressive game against UGA. I'm surprised they outranked LSU but not disappointed or infuriated. I can live with #2 for Bama if they haven't trailed any opponents at all this season. Not. EVER in '08.

Awesome, #24, and 5-0 for the second year in a row. Now, hopefully the end of the season goes a lot better.

Dang...I was close! I guess people got over the Saban thing...as much as I hate him, Bama really looked good Saturday night!

Georgia and Florida are still in it if they can win out. Winning out would put them at one loss with wins over the other, LSU, a Vandy team who looks surprisingly good this year and the SEC West Champ (Bama?). That should be enough to jump them back over USC (who doesn't play another ranked team), and even an undefeated USF or BYU. All the Big XII teams ahead of those 2 will take care of each other and leave at most one undefeated team. If one of UGA or UF can finish this season with only yesterday's loss, the only way they don't go to the championship game is if there is an undefeated Big XII team AND an undefeated Big 10 team. I don't see that happening (no offense Penn State fans).

Ole Miss has improved significantly with Houston Nutt on board! That Vandy team has been a surprise this year, but Ole Miss still has time to prove its worth! It really is hard to stand out when the SEC is so universally strong. GEAUX Tigers, by the way!

And then, BAM! Not so nice.

Actually, I'll be the first to say we're just getting in to the thick of the season schedule, so I'm not getting too big in our blue and white britches just yet. I am glad that Michigan is AT Penn State but then we play AT Ohio State. Ugh. (no offense, Benz )

And KSigkid, my husband's a Husky and he's so happy they're 5-0, he keeps trying to tell me they're "just like Penn State now". Aww. Yeah, but no.
