				Wall*E

I went because 5 & 6 yr. old boys + robots = love, and was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. Far more "meaty" than I expected.

3 year old boys love robots too!
My BF took his son to the mall yesterday and got an Eve robot that interacts with the Wall-E robot we got him last week.

We're going to wait until after opening weekend to see the movie, but the kid already knows it's in this theaters now because of the commercials.

We take clients to the movies every Friday. Today we saw Wall*E. I wasn't impressed. I didn't like it.
And, I usually <33 Pixar.

I thought it was really good - a lot better than I expected. A lot of underlying themes and messages that little kids probably won't get though.

I LOVED it. I went with my boyfriend tonight. I think it's a great animated movie for adults. Honestly, of all the Pixar movies I've seen, this is the least-kid friendly and most adult-friendly.
 Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaall - E! LOL

I totally agree that this is a grown-up movie. I went with Mr. Tau yesterday and there were more adults without kids at the theatre than adults with kids (but it could also have been timing. We saw a 4:50 pm show. The movie ended towards the end of dinner time. There were lots of kids going to a 4 pm show though)

Also, does EVE remind anyone of anime characters, especially the way her "eyes" look when she giggles (and the way she giggles, period) ?

Yeah. I JUST saw it at 1:50 Eastern and it was amusing, but I wasn't like OH! The way I was with CARS. Wall-E was interesting in a totally different way. Not a lot of dialogue, not a lot going on period. Kids were talking the whole time and a lot of the scenes where there was silence they sounded so confused and wouldn't be quiet (cos they are kids). This isn't for them. It's beautiful and smart, but I wouldn't take anyone under 10 to this.
PS-He was watching "Hello Dolly" in the movie and I'm laughing since I get home and turn on the TV and it's on!

I haven't seen the movie yet, but i have seen many promos for Wall-E and I think the robot looks like a smaller version of the robot in Short Circuit . (Showing my age. )

Does anyone agree?

^^^ OMG YES! I was terrified of that robot since childhood (can't even recall why anymore) and when I saw the first life-size display for Wall-E earlier this year that's what I thought it was. (My bf did too). I was like, why do I have to relive this nightmare?! (Thankfully, I quickly realized it was something else).

Just saw Wall-E this afternoon and absolutely loved it! It was packed to the brim with kids, half of which were asking their parents what was happening.

As soon as I can get away from my job, I'm going to go see this movie. I fell in love with Wall-E in the trailers and can't wait to see the movie!

Does anyone agree? | I completely agree. In fact, whenever I've been in a conversation about the movie and we are trying to get on the same page about what it is, someone (either myself or the other party) always uses the character in Short Circuit as a reference. In fact, my brother last night used the robots actual name when he was talking with my parents.
