The tables at B&N aren't big enough to sketch on.

They're big enough for my sketchbook...it might be a problem if you're bringing a canvass with you.

I use a vellum sketch pad. It's great for sketching cars, and when sketching cars you have to use your arm not your wrist, so I need the room.

Well, I'm so sorry if our coffee-cup sized cafe tables don't fit your car-length arms.
So, for those who met someone after college, where did you meet your so-and-so?

Awhile back, when this thread had gotten bumped, I had thought about starting a new thread for the married/engaged/LTR GCers to help us single folks out...polling them on stuff like where they met their SO, who approached who, how did you approach your SO or were approached by your SO (i.e. did you use a pick-up line or did you just say "hi" or did you just start talking about something that you noticed you had in common), what attracted you, what about you attracted your SO, etc. I think I was holding off on starting a new thread until I had come up with more questions but then I ended up forgetting about it.

I met my boyfriend on MySpace and now we're buying a house together. My brother met his wife on LavaLife. Online dating isn't as bad as it sounds, miracles do happen
And I think a Greek Dating Site would be neat - but I thought it already existed somewhere... just don't make people pay for it, those sites suck. Just get sponsors and have ads, people don't care.

Church. Work. The gym (hey, at least you know they care about physical fitness) Club and organizations.
I have a complex with strangers. If I don't personally know you or have a trustworthy friend who can vouch for you - you gets no love from me. LOL. MySpace and the like are totally out of the question for me.

Yeah I definitely am not down to pay for a dating site and I just don't wanna be "that guy" on myspace, especially because all of my female friends constantly complain about randoms hitting them up.
I don't know how people can hit on people at the gym, I'm usually far too focused on my work out to try and talk to someone. Church... I usually go, get in, gitter done, and get out, I go solo and don't know many people so there's not any real reason for me to stick around and socialize.
I think I just need to break out of my shell but it's hard sometimes when you're not in your comfort zone
