Thanks!! It looks like they would have LOTS of nice stuff to put on it. I just have to say that Panhellenic Council member Collier Broadaway is one attractive young lady! Especially the picture of her modeling dresses to wear for open house day in the "what to wear for recruitment" section of the panhellenic association site, I've seldom (and I went to Ole Miss, so I know an attractive lady when I see one!) seen anything so darling and adorable!! She's a real credit to the chapter!

I don't personally know Collier, but I know her older sister Arden. They are both adorable!

As far as my Old Row shirts say, the following are Old Row:

KD, Tri Delt, Alpha Gam (also known as "First Circle"), XO, AXO & Phi MU
Apparently Phi Mu and AXO are the newer old rowers.

Frats are:

KA, SAE, EN, Phi Gam, DKE & Phi Delt
Thank you, I was just about to correct myself! I am a KD pledge and we just got our Old Row t-shirts on our pledge retreat yesterday. Thanks again!

If Phi Delta Theta is Old Row, how come it looks like they've been one of the smaller Alabama fraternities? Yeah, I guess they may (as they see it) pick "quality" over "quantity", or don't go out of their way to get new members or both, but I would have figured they'd be much bigger than around sixty members being that well thought of.

She did, but from what I understand she is no longer in the chapter.

Oh by the way, I didn't mean to direct my question at rolltideuofa07 as you just came to Bama! I meant it as an open letter-type inquiry to anyone who might be in the know. I didn't realize my "Quote message in reply?" option was checked on! Congrats here too on becoming a new KayDee (as they're often affectionately called at my alma mater!)!

I was wondering that, too. I still don't understand what Old Row really means... is it a physical distinction based on where they are located or just a social thing? And how does a group "become" Old Row or "leave" Old Row?

I might be completely off but I was told that Old Row was related to their status with the Machine and not on a physical location. And this might be completely wrong but I was also told that the Old Row houses have to pay to have that status and any house could be old row if they wanted (hence the split of first circle within old row). Again I have no first hand knowledge so I'd really like to know!

You can't join Old Row or leave Old Row. You simply are or are not Old Row. It has to do with the fraternity's or sorority's period of time on campus.

It has nothing to do with the machine, however Old Row houses belong to the machine. First Circle is the location of the houses on sorority row.

I'm not arguing with you because like I said I what I heard was just what someone told me and it wasn't the most reliable source ever. But ADPi, ZTA, and DZ have been there longer than Chi O, AXO, and Phi Mu, so why aren't they old row? and how did Kappa leave?

So, I was under the impression from things I've read on GC other than the posts about Phi Mu-not-Kappa in this thread that Old Row is AGD, KD, Tri Delt, Kappa, XO, and AXO. So, according to what's posted here, either Kappa is Old Row, was never Old Row, or left Old Row. Which?

AOPI Photo

DD #2 pointed out the two local girls in the AOPi pledge class photo. Cute group and congrats to all. (The other local went Phi Mu, seems like there should be more but that's all I know so far.)
