I saw that. The only shocking part is that both sides are active in politics now, but since he apparently didn't go into the geaneology testing expecting to find anything, I'd be surprised too.

I read about this yesterday. Now THAT is a genealogy FIND! Wow!

It's just amazing that these two men - who were politically polar opposites - are related.

I wonder, if Thurmond was alive today, how he'd react.

I think Sharpton is being a bit reserved just yet...and probably really floored by this.

There's always the first comment, but it would be interesting to see what evolves (or what COULD have evolved) from this discovery, if anything. Not that it would have an effect on U.S. politics, but perhaps in Thurmond's & Sharpton's campaigns.
