Catfish is a southern thing. Southerners also eat spaghetti. But I have yet to see this as a meal that southerners eat. I was born and raised in the South. If this is also a southern thing, then wow. I just learned something new.

I actually don't want the traditional Thanksgiving dinner. I would be happy with some catfish, greens, spaghetti, and hush puppies with vanilla ice cream and fudge browies for dessert.

I'm still stuck on the catfish and spaghetti thing. Now I've heard of catfish and grits (amazed at that too) but wowsers @ spaghetti as a side item. Is it traditional spaghetti?? Like sauce, BEEF and noodles?

can't do the chitlins... i tried them when i first was able to sit at the grown folks table.... and I am good for a lifetime on that... of course I have to pass on anything that I am allergic to... but replace bouron for the raisins in the yams, and you got some good eats!

Collard Greens that ya folks put they foot in it, mac and cheese sooooo good you dream about it in your turkey induced sleep and then eat for breakfast cold, turkey fried up so good and moist you think it is fried chicken, skillet cornbread with melted butter, stuffing that was not cooked in the unsanitary orafice of a turkey.

Whew... I am gonna have to work out extra Thursday night...

As long as I get some good peach cobbler I'm good. That's my favorite dessert.

MEAT!

Especially in dishes that are traditionally vegetarian.

And please NO blue box mac & cheese! I want some REAL mac & cheese...four different cheeses, a little pepper, two sticks of butter...not that powdered isht.
