Question Planning to rush, quick question!

Hi everyone,

I'm planning to rush at Rutgers University this fall and I have a very general and definitely stupid question: When you talk about a sorority having a "quota," does this refer to the maximum amount of girls they are allowed to extend bids to, or the minimum amount they are trying to recruit, or both?

Thanks in advance for your help, I'm a little clueless about this :/ lol

Maximum amount of girls that they are allowed to extend bids to.

Best of luck to you!

I agree. There are, however, many stupid people and lots of inquisitive idiots. The OP is neither and I hope she has a great recruitment!

I'd say you can't. Rutgers does deferred recruitment but according to their calendar, upperclassmen recruitment isn't until early Oct.

A question for someone more knowledgeable about how Rutgers does it.

Do they really do expansion in a different manner from NPC as this document seems to say?

At Rutgers, it's very informal in the fall, only for upperclassmen. Most of the sororities hold COB events up until October, with rush week being the 3rd through the 8th this year. So you can get a bid either way. Is that really weird compared to other schools?

Just to be honest, though, I'm not an expert on the Greek system at Rutgers so I can't explain why they do it this way...

It's not that uncommon for schools that defer rush to COB during the school year As I assume you're accepting your bid (since it's your number one choice):
