Cranky and sad...

Two nights ago, a boy and his father were killed in a fire. I had known them since the boy was in 4th grade. He was once a friend of my son's, but because of differences in lifestyles, they went seperate ways. I still see that sweet little boy who was abandoned by his mother. His father loved him so much, he ran back into the fire to save his son. Another cousin was also killed.

Everyone, please take care of yourselves and be cautious of the risks you take. There are more people than you will ever know who have held a part of you in their hearts.

Oh, JustAMom, my heart goes out to you and to that family. I'll hug everyone I love a little tighter tonight. Thanks for passing along some more of your wise words.

JAM,

Your words remind me so much of my own mom. It is really comforting to read your posts. I too will hug a little tighter and try not to take relationships for granted.

It is so sad to lose those you love even if you hadn't spoken in years. I will remember them in my prayers.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Last year right before Christmas I lost a dear friend...a little girl around the age of 7. Her mother used to be my 5th grade teacher and I babysat her daughter from the time she was born until she was 4 or 5.

This time of the year is hard enough on some people but it's especially hard for those who lose someone they love.
I will say a prayer for them!

Hootie

Unhappy

JAMOM. Tears in my eyes for you and your deep lose!

Most people do not know that smoke inhalation will kill you before you burn to death ! Lie on the floor and crawl to an exit, smoke rises.

OH Please have a safe Holiday! This is the time of year when there are more fires

Do you realize how appropriate your GC name is? There's one thing though, there is no such thing as just A mom. Mom incorporates everything, love, care, sacrifice, all of that. And no one could write the words you just did without having all of those qualities in spades. God bless you. I think you, and all other parents on the board might be able to even comprehend what it could be like to lose a child, because I sure as hell hope I never have a twinge of what that could be like.

Thank you guys so much. It is so wonderful to be able to share feelings. It's funny,GC was like moving to a foreign country where names that initially mean nothing take on an identity of their own. I can picture each of you so clearly- as we are meant to see each other-I feel I see your souls, and everyone is so beautiful!
