I've never actually bought anything on ebay....
But I've known two people who've gotten scammed.

one of my sister's ordered a tiffany's bracelet....turns out it was a fake.

and then my boyfriend's roommate ordered a laptop - laptop never came, turns out the whole thing was a scam. luckily, he was just able to charge back the charges on his credit card, so he wasn't out any money. they were able to find the guy, so he now has to make a statement to help get the guy in trouble.

boyfriend's also sold a few things on ebay, including a psp, ps2, and other video game thing.

Ebay purchases

I have been using ebay for quite a while. I have only been burned once.

My sister seems to be the ebay queen. She bought a 1.54 carat pear shaped solitar for $1400. It received a certified gem appraisal (by my sisters' jeweler) for $22,000!! She bought a cherry mercury cougar for about $2700. She got a rolex for my brother-in-law for $1200 that appraised (as genuine) for the $14,000 retail price.

I purchase mostly stained glass and crafting supplies, Silver flatware to match my mother's pattern, and Phi Mu stuff.
I have purchased KA Tshirts for my sons and bought some discontinued Levi jeans for my husband.

I don't worry...ebay offers pretty good protections now adays.

I've bought some BSP stuff, usually cookbooks, and tons of old school retired Vera Bradley patterns! I've also bought some weaving supplies.

I wouldn't buy any electronics from there, though.

My name is Hollie, and I am an eBay addict.

WOW...... see I buy the cheap stuff...lol not the big money stuff. I kinda feel like I would get burned if I tried to buy rings or stuff like LV's

I've been a Ebay fiend since I discovered it in high school. I used to buy stuffed animals that I had when I was little. I bought a wuzzle for me one time and a Popple for a friend. I go through phases where I buy a lot of stuff and then I don't for awhile. I've bought Alpha Sigma Alpha stuff. I bought an SD card for my mp3 player that I'm moderately satisfied with, as least for the price I paid for it. Now since I have a new obsession with Urban Decay eye shadows I've been buying those up like crazy.

I've also sold some stuff and done relatively well. I used to be an avid X-Files fan ( I know, total dork!!!) so I sold a lot of that stuff. I sold a Nintendo Gamecube along with 4/5 games for a decent amount. Every now and then I'll find random things and sell them.

Ask for the tracking number.

Did you pay w/ paypal? You can use those tools to get your money back.
