OK, so I live in Colorado and grew up in Ohio...
This bowl pits two teams that we love to hate.

Congratulations on the Nebraska win!
I'm looking forward to the Texas - Nebraska game next year. It's always a good game.

I can be happy with this since Solich is now coach at my alma mater and Bo Schembechler is/was one of my alltime least favorite people. (He was coach at Miami of Ohio when I was at Ohio U. and, after we beat them one year, said, "They can play football until hell freezes over and never be a champion." Great sportsman.

Even if he is stating the obvious? I never liked Bo much either, mainly for the style of play that he brought and coached at Michigan. Heaven forbid they throw down the field twenty times a game.

Tacky, tacky. We were 10-0 that year and went to the old Tangerine Bowl.
And lost there.
"Heaven forbid they throw down the field twenty times a game."
Remember that he coached under Woody Hayes. "Three yards and a cloud of dust." And, "There are only three things that can happen during a forward pass, and two of them are bad."

I thought Darryl Royal said that.
(Actually, I bet a lot of coaches SAID that - I just thought Darryl said it first.)

Just got back from San Antonio!
Was a great game. The ending was unbelievable. I think that most of the fans thought the game was over b/c it appeared Mike Hart picked up the ball with his knee on the ground, obviously he didn't - but from the third deck it did.
Still was an amazing game, and Michigan can complain all they want about the officiating, but it still remains that they had us down by 11 midway through the 4th. They should have closed it out.
And as far as next season, a lot of what ifs have to be answered, but I think Nebraska has a good shot at USC if Reggie AND LenDale White leave. If White sticks around, USC gets the edge. As for UT, depends on VY sticking around.

I think White will leave.
It should be an alright game, but I think you have a better shot at the 07 game which is in Nebraska than next year. USC will have an AWESOME defense next year. I promise you this.
