Please tell me I am reading this wrong. They called and congratulated her on growing her hair out? What kind of mess is that?

I might be late but Anthony Hamilton's "Comin' From Where I'm From" is in there.
It's a CD/DVD combination. The DVD is a live concert in his native Charlotte, N.C., with songs interspersed with his visits to family/friends throughout the city. Real warm, it gives Charlotte a "country" feel, including his sitting in a restaurant drinking lemonade out of a mason jar....with a straw. Oh, and his mom's name is "Ola Pearl" (gotta luv our peeps. )
the album is tight, too.... he has an old school sound that evokes a lot of emotion. it's a good one, IMO.

Real Hip Hop
I'm not sure exctly how many hip hop heads are out there...but if you like REAL hip hop check out Little Brother. They been around for a minute on the underground scene. Their music is reminiscent of rap music before it was polluted with BS.
The album is called The Chittlin Circuit 1.5.
Check the website and turn up the volume!!!
Thank me later

Upcoming show dates for Vivian Green - I'm not feeling her new stuff, but hopefully she can still perform well.
8/4 - Brooklyn, NY - Brooklyn Marriott (People of Color in Crisis)
8/6 - Washington DC - Constitution Hall (w/ Tenna Marie)
8/27 - Detroit, MI - Chene Park
8/28 - Orange, NJ - Ornage Park (w/ Musiq)
9/22 - Washington DC - Sequoia Restaurant (Congressional Black Caucus)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
On another note, I'm enjoying the new 112 CD. Much better than the last.
I'm pretty much hanging around the first 6 songs, then I skip a little and there are 2 toward the end that I like. It's nowhere near the 1st 2 CDs, but it's an improvement over the last one.
New project Sept. 13
CeCe Winans gave free concert tonight in the ampitheatre downtown. It was truly a night of praise, as CeCe and her band straight Ripped. It. Up. ..."church" on a Saturday night was cool.
her new project drops Sept. 13. It will be tight.
I like that song, "I Pray, You Pray, We Pray." I'm not quite sure that's the real name of it. So you mean I'll have to wait until Sept to get the CD
I love Mary, Mary's new CD.
