If you have a fraternity house with a side walk that leads to the house that is owned by the house you should get the sororitys to take a portion and let them paint the mascots and letters on it. And they usually put something like ABC loves TKE. Gets the girls on campus invovled with you and shows them that you care about them.

Great idea...i'm gonna have to remember that for when we get our house. The university doesnt mind if we paint the sidewalks on campus though, so we might have to do something similar somewhere on campus...maybe in front of the dorm all the fraternities w/o houses live in hehe.

Thats an idea but don't you think the other fraternities would mess up the paintings by dumping paint or worse over it?

Maybe, but the fraternities do stuff like that all the time...like "RUSH XYZ" and such....nobody usually messes with it. Some stuff stays out there for weeks, until it rains. It just depends where it's at...like on benches ppl come up and wipe it off, but if it requires any effort whatsoever to get rid of it, then it stays there until it fades or is washed away by one thing or another.

I would think these things could be kept in check by a mutal "non agression pact" basically saying "you dont mess with our house, we dont mess with yours".

besides, defacing property with anything more than easily washable stuff if vandalism, and no fraternity would put RUSH XYZ and have it instantly traceable back to their house.

Lol nonaggression pact? That would be great if the other fraternities would sign that but I doubt they would do that here. And even if they did most would not follow it. Sad but true. We have to have the house locked up at night here with security cameras also.

Yeah, nonagression pacts wouldn't work for us either. For some reason a lot of the other fraternities on campus here don't like us. Could be we rushed & initiated 30 guys AFTER spring rush for everyone. Spring is a slow rush...most fraternities get 3 or 4 guys, the most ever has been like 10 from what I hear. We didn't even make it into IFC (after everyone told us we needed to join, go figure). Either way, we have some events planned to make those members who didn't vote us in regret their decision....maybe it also has to do with the fact that we've actually DONE stuff for the community/sororities....did more for them in 6 months than most of the rest of them do in a year. Oh well...they shall soon see that their thinking is flawed
