When you get a green "Support the Troops" bracelet and wear it with your yellow LiveSTRONG bracelet because they are your sorority colors.

(And yes, I DO support both!! But I'm not going to wear more than two of those bracelets at a time!!)

I painted my private bathroom purple, I wear a purple bracelet to match my purple flip flops, I sometimes substitute the letter S or the letter E with a Sigma Greek letter!

...I buy anything and everything with lovely purple iris. (Vases, Paintings from Kirklands, ceramic flowers)
...My computer at work has a DPhiE desktop, and two DPhiE desktop items. One of which is the one I got from the banners on one of these threads.
...I have a lot of stuff from Ebay and can actually buy lavaliers through pay pal for everyone I like.

~ when you buy things just because they have either violets or sail boats on them!
~ you wear your letters frequently, and the same people ask what EEE means, and you have to go through the same story that they are Sigmas and not E's
~ you get so bored in classes you write your letters in the margins of your pages instead of taking notes
~ on every monthly bank statement, the only checks you write are those to your fraternity/sorority
~ your mom buys you a purple christmas tree to put up because it is Sigma purple HAHA
~ A complete stranger sees you wearing letters and stops you in the grocery store and talks to you for an hour about how his mom was a Sigma back in the 50s and how she helped build your sorority house in the 60s
~ you are at the fraternity houses so much that they tell you politely in their greek sing that you owe them rent HAHA

- when you are skipping your night class to attend Harmony Night for Greek Week (because sisters> modern art history).

- When the number of shirts with letters on them exceeds the number of shirts without.

- When your clothes really only come in two color combos...blue and white and red and black. (That way you have black for dressy events, white for initiation...and everything in between)

- When half the clothing in your closet doesn't REALLY belong to you, but rather is an amalgam of other sister's clothing.

- When the banner on your phone says "w00t w00 Tau Delta!"

I have another one: when you and your sisters mention your affiliation any time you're interviewed by the school newspaper or the local newspaper in the hopes that your sorority's name will make the paper.

Example: Two of my sisters had to be evacuated from their apartment because of a gas leak. A photographer from the local paper snapped a picture of them being escorted across the street by a fireman. When the reporter went to get their names and permission for the picture to be used, they tried to get the reporter to write the caption as "Emily ___ and Camilla ____ of Sigma Omicron Pi are seen being escorted out of....." but unfortunately the reporter only wrote "Emily ____ and Camilla ____ are seen being escorted out of....."

When you have friends over and they see your lambs and paddles and say "THAT IS A LOT OF LAMBS AND PADDLES " (only have 5 btw, one was made for a gift but I never saw them to give it to them so I still have it lol).

And you saw it as "a sign" to buy the house because the ugly '70's blue and blue bathroom had an owl robe hook on the back of the door.
Have you ever seen a catalog called Ballard Designs? (www.ballarddesigns.com) I love a good 98% of their products, and every time I get one, I swear that a Kappa is the Ballard!! There are more fleur de lis, irises, etc in there, it's amazing!!

I'd heard of Ballard Designs, but had never seen their website or catalogue. Thanks for the link, Honey! What great stuff they have!

Now here's something that I don't yet own. I think I need one. Doesn't everyone need a boot tray with fleur de lis trim?

Glad you liked it! One thing in the catalog that I didn't see on the website was fleur de lis thumbtacks! I think every Kappa should have some of those!

These towels come in black or gold fleur de lis:

This is perfect for the combo Kappa/ADPi home (fleur de lis & black diamonds!):

Edited to add: I've been lusting after their one computer arrangement, the one that's more or less files of different types with the workspace on top!

- When the most expensive piece of jewlery you own is your pin...and you took out a loan to buy it. (But then again, it's for a lifetime, so why not have diamons?)

You've made a "mane" for your mother's dog. He wears it resignedly.
Honey, just another reason that I appreciate you so much....

You know you are a proud Greek when....
---Your car is named "JR" because it is literally the color of Jacqueminot Roses.
---You have a panda named "Rose" that has her own seatbelt in the backseat.
---You have a baby bed filled with pandas (no RL legacy though ).
---The first thing that you see when entering your mother's home is an antique, huge (like 3 ft by 3 feet) framed shadow box of a sheaf of wheat.
---Your DH has a shirt that says, "IIOA: AOII Husband."
