Best of luck to every chapter!!! | According to IPs partial Colorado new member numbers there are again larger classes this Fall compared to previous years. Southernbuff, is there any chance panhel is working on a new colony(s) solution?

Cherrio, I have not heard anything in the last two weeks about extension being back on the table. Sadly, not all chapters made quota of 110, and like so many other schools, lots and lots of women drop out of recruitment at CU when they don't get that invitation back to their top choice chapter. I wonder at times if the GL advisor even cares why only about 60% received bids or is interested in how to help the chapters who missed quota. Is there more that could be done during PNM orientation to prepare them for the realities of recruitment or are there just so many special snowflakes out in Boulder? Sure, but not sure what. Also, women can register for recruitment up until several days before it starts and recommendations do not seem as important here....perhaps many of these women don't take sorority membership as seriously when it is a last minute decision! I have my opinions about CU Greek life and how the university supports or doesn't support the community fully. And like I stated before, there is plenty of room and opportunity for community-strengthening between chapters. I think cut throat competition at every event does not foster the Panhellenic spirit we all strive for here. CU is a different environment with most fraternities not being a part of IFC and this may play into the overall culture too. It's frustrating to watch and will be interesting to see what plays out in the coming semester for sure.

I did some research and I saw that Ball State and Indiana State had record breaking freshmen and overall enrollments this Fall. I also saw where the Illinois freshmen enrollment at Indiana State almost doubled this year from 2016. Crazy. Indiana State is only about 45 minutes away from EIU? Not good either. Hoping for a successful COB at EIU so their numbers will go up.
