Orphans, Hunger, and Pouplard Street: Photographs of Haiti after the January 12th Earthquake

As we continue our donation drive to support the people of Haiti, Theta Nu Xi Multicultural Sorority, Inc. recognizes its Alpha Theta Chapter's efforts to bring attention to the plight still faced by this country.

Ozier Muhammad, a staff photographer for The New York Times since 1992 who covered Hurricane Katrina, Iraq, Afghanistan, much of Africa and Haiti, will speak and present his work at Ramapo College on Thursday April 8th 2010.

Muhammad has been a professional photojournalist since graduating from Columbia College in Chicago in 1972. While serving on the staff of Newsday, he won a Polk Award in news photography and shared a Pulitzer Prize in international reporting with Josh Friedman and Dennis Bell for a series of reports titled "Africa, the Desperate Continent."

 PRINTABLE FLYER
This is the chapter I advise. I'm so impressed by them and what they're trying to accomplish. I know how hard they worked to bring this NYTimes photographer to campus.
