I didn't say there was anything wrong with it. It was just an awkward moment when they chose not to react.

Currently there is a policy known as Don't Ask, Don't Tell which means that LGBT can serve in the military, but have to hide their orientation. Part of Obama's campaign promises was to get rid of that policy. For those watching, is he actually going to do so?

Sorry I meant did he said he was going to do so. And since we are on the subject, is DADT currently a matter of law or DoD policy?

I think he will, but that doesn't mean anything will change. Legislature changes law, not feelings. When you're facing a high-charged situation like that, knowing full-well what the military attitude is, "official policy" means crap.
I'm looking at Facebook and see people are talking smack about the speech already (on Facebook). That would be fine, but these particular people have made it clear that they "refused to watch."  Um, if you didn't hear ANY of it, what exactly are you commenting on?

Which is equally dumb, IMO. Comment on what you know, but it's not a good idea to pass judgement (good or bad) on something you didn't even hear.
