Facebook Chat

How many people actually use this/how often?

I've been using it more lately, since logging onto AIM takes some extra clicks.

I travel a lot to conventions and meet people all over. When I give them my business card they add me as a friend not knowing my Instant Messanger account. Its been nice to have the additional place for people to contact me.

Just thought of another reason why some people might like it for the Professional world. You may have had your IM account since you were a kid and you don't really want to use "Skaterboy1987" anymore.

I use it every once in a while, if I don't have AIM open and I want to send someone a quick message.

I hate it when people you don't want to talk to message you.

I use it while I'm at work, since I work on campus (by work, I mean sit in the library and do absolutely nothing) and they recently decided to remove MSN messenger from all of the computers for some reason.
It's annoying when it doesn't work the way it should.

It's been disabled since the moment I figured out how to disable it.

BTW who else hates the new layout? You may not all have it yet; they've been allowing people to update periodically. My friend got it about a month ago, and I had no idea what she was talking about. I got it last week, hated it, and changed back.

I hated the new layout at first because it felt like a huge Myspace ripoff. Like they weren't slowly getting similar enough already, Facebook just decided to make the leap and make them identical. However, since I fall into the trap of wondering WTF every application everyone sends me is (and adding it), I really like that the applications have their own tab and I don't have to scrub them off my profile.

On topic: I don't use the chat.

I've used the chat, usually when I was playing Scrabulous "live" with someone. The board wouldn't always refresh so we would chat and then say "your turn". I've found it to be a little buggy, telling me someone logged off and back on, when they hadn't done anything, but it's alright. I talk to AGDLynn on there too sometimes.

My AIM is on almost all the time when I'm on my computer. I've used the Facebook chat a few times. Mostly I've had people IM me and I didn't even realize I was online.

I hate facebook chat. I think it's dumb.

And, I hate people trying to talk to me when all I wanna do is surf facebook, man. I'll usually just log off of facebook and not talk to them.
