What is your favorite sandwich?
In keeping with better personal health management, I make a lot of what I eat now- and was just thinking today as I made a sandwich that I have been eating this same exact sandwich regularly since I was a kid and I have never tired of it.
Boar's Head Honey Maple Turkey
White American Cheese
Sliced tomato
Yellow Mustard
French Bread (wheat bread these days.)
So, what is your favorite sandwich? (yes, burgers and/or restaurant food counts too.)

Grilled cheese. There is truly no better sandwich. My favorite is the grilled cheese sandwich at TooJay's. I'm so sad that they're located only in Florida. Every time I visit friends or family in FL, I always make sure to go to TooJay's.

i LOVE a BLT. not healthy at all, but give me thick-cut bacon with mayo and honey mustard on whole wheat, and im good.
or, if you want to really be grossed out, theres this place called Peanut Butter and Co. that makes this sandwich:
PB
Bacon
Banana
Honey
Multigrain/Whole Wheat
They serve it with milk and carrots. Yum.
ETA: i may lose some cool points but Starbucks makes a sandwich, i want to say its chicken salad on multigrain with lettuce, bean sprouts and cranberries. its the effing win.

I like to make myself this sandwich, it's a modified version of a sandwich I had at a bagel place that has since closed:
smoked salmon salad (whole foods sells it)
sprouts
roma tomatoes
thin layer of pesto spread on both sides of a whole wheat bagel
I always loved the grilled cheese that the DGs at UMD sell on certain Thursday nights.

Monte Cristo at Blue Bayou in Disneyland!
More mundane choices -
When I was in college, Grin's made a cheddar, bacon, tomato and mushroom sandwich - yuuuummmmm. It's no longer on the menu.
Starbucks has some good sandwiches - believe it or don't!

Before anyone knocks this, try it - it's WONDERFUL!
I love plain old eggsalad (the plainer, the better) on homemade white bread.

YUM!
BLTs are great. Extra crispy bacon on white bread with a little mayo. It's too fattening though.
I found this place called Hannah's Bretzel and my favorite sammy is:
Wild Alaskan smoked salmon
cream cheese
capers
thinly sliced red onion
roma tomatoes
a little dill sauce
on a bretzel (pretzel bread)
At home I make turkey sandwiches with very thinly shaved turkey, lettuce, roma tomatoes, red onion, cucumbers, avocado, sprouts on whole wheat with a little mayo and dijon.

Totally agree on the grilled cheese. Love them. I used to go to a place that would put four different kinds of cheeses on it for you, so I'd mix it up and try different kinds - colby jack, provolone, muenster, cheddar, mozzerella, pepperjack, swiss, etc. It was awesome.
I also like french dip sandwiches. And I've rarely met a cheeseburger that I don't like.
I'm pretty basic when I'm making stuff to run out the door if I'm packing a lunch though - ham and cheese on wheat, smoked turkey and cheese on wheat. The only things that change are the type of ham/turkey and cheese.

Ham, swiss, with lettuce, tomato, mayo and vinegar on onion bun from Jason's Deli. Yummy!

Slice of some kind of white cheese
