GW Cracks down on APEs.
Interesting article from the school newspaper.

Essentially the pulled suspected APEs out of class and busted them. It was an insane crack down. Check it out.

L.O.C.K., why do you think GWU has so many underground and/or unrecognized fraternities?
I say "so many" because I feel like three is a lot considering GW actually recognizes Greek life.

Spoiled kids who don't think the rules or law applies to them?

Even though APE fraternity operates underground, they still need to comply with the rules of the university when it comes to the Student Code of Conduct.
NOTE: The new ZBT Colony at GWU which started this Fall semester has NO affiliatiation with APEs. They are two separate organizations.

I disagree.
An organization that has no ties with the university has no obligation to live by the Cider House Rules.
These students are adults, presumably.

GW only has 3 - two of which are recognized by their Nationals and are trying to get recognized. The University has been actively trying to get them recognized.
As for how this was handled - it's going to blow up in GW's face. Taking kids out of class and seizing their laptops and cell phones is really over the top. Unless they had knowledge of an imminent huge crime that was happening right then, doing that is inappropriate and is going to really hurt the school's good reputation when it comes to dealing with Greek Life.
I'm waiting to see what the charges are.

Wait...so students shouldn't abide by the STUDENT code of conduct?
