Exclamation A Whole Buncha Mess...

Not mess per say. Just alot of things that worry me lol.

I've done a search and because my case is so....ehh..... I decided I should try to get an honest opinion on my case. So ahem...here goes...

I'm not too particulary fond of a particular chapter on my school. They do things in a backwards way and it really iritates people because, although I do understand that its a selective process and they have every right to be selective, they don't provide the opportunity for alot of people to even give a chance to present themselves as they decide to have a line every blue moon. But anyways, with my case in order for me to pledge at my school, I would have to wait till 2010. I took a 2 year break from school and got my life together and went back..but at the age of 24 , so I'm DEFINITELY ready to go. I'm set to graduate by next Fall. I'm not going to stay around just passing the time, while they decide...lets have a line.......NOW. So I'm very passionate about the choice I've made to pledge XYZ and nothing is going to deter me. There is a neighboring university, where my credits transfer smoothly. They pledge EVERY SEMESTER, not every leap year lol, so I want to go there. I have a 2.4 at my current school and so far with the classes I've taken at this other university I've got a 3.7....

SOOOO my question is. If I were to transfer, would they look at my 2.4 or my 3.7? I would have 12 sum credit hours at the other school, but I'm technically a junior at my current univeristy. Would they look at my age 24 going on 25, when most girls pledging are 21. Would I look crazy just for transfering to pledge [being honest]. My eye is on the sparrow and the end justify the means to me. Crazy....yes. Determined to achieve something I REALLY want....VERY.

Help...

Do not transfer just for the CHANCE to be selected for an organization.

There are a-plenty women and men who joined the "Boo-Boo the Fool" Club because that's exactly how they looked transferring schools just to pledge but didn't get picked.

(Although I have seen that a LOT among certain fraternities and schools in my area.)

The Boo Boo the Fool club? LOL! Now that's comedy....

Well...if that's the case...I'm pretty much just not going to get the chance to pledge unless I sit around campus for 5011 years while XYZ gets their lives together and allow people to pledge sometime this century. Going grad....thats exceptionally hard around here for some odd reason....

Challenging, but not impossible.

The good thing about NPHC organizations is that hey, they will always be there, with an active alumni/ae initiation program. Imagine, if you will, you were one of the many women on GreekChat who went through traditional NPC recruitment and didn't get selected. "Going grad" isn't even an option in some of those organizations, or if it is, it's very rare.

I became an Alpha through an alumni chapter and I wouldn't trade in the experience for the world.

Good luck to you!
