Amazing that Iraqi was made up of Shunnis, Shites, and Kurds and still win!

What a great thing for a Country that cannot get along with each other.

Maybe this will be a turn around for them and able our Troups to get out sooner.

We can only hope!

Hopefully, we can leave that dump soon and let them decide whether they want to play soccer or blow each other up.

It does show the power of soccer as a uniting force in countries otherwise divided

No other sport would have done that. (Cricket? I doubt it. American football? No way!)
But then I'm a soccer fan.

Didn't you marry someone Hispanic? I'm surprised you don't know the importance of soccer in other cultures. It is actually very influential.
