Wii

Has anyone watched/played this system in the mall? It is crazy. The controllers are like motion sensitive. I think the system is only $250. I'm curious who will do better in sales - Nintendo or Sony.

Nintendo will just because they didn't release a mere 400k systems on the first day of release like Sony did.

And, they aren't nearly as expensive to begin with. Smart move on Nintendo's part.

Didn't get one *sniffle*

Which is not surprising as I didn't pre-order one OR wait in line at midnight.

I watched people play with one while I was in Orlanda this weekend. They were giving one away, but *mysteriously* enough, nobody won it....

There was boxing, golf, and bowling on it. You just strap the controls to your hands and play like virtual reality! It looked cool, I wish I'd gotten a turn, but the boys were hogging it...

I swore we would never get a game console but...

We bought a Wii yesterday, at the Athens Toys-R-Us. Evidently Nintendo just released a big shipment. My son and husband walked in around noon and asked if they had any in stock.

I love that the games are more active. You don't just sit there, you get up and swing your arms. They're really fun for parents and kids to play together.

I think parents will also favor this system because it encourages physical activity. It won't replace an old fashion work-out, but it will definately burn some calories. I wonder had Nintendo taken that into consideration, or it's just a coincidence.

LOL! That's exactly the argument that my 9-year-old keeps making. "But Dad, you get exercise while you're playing it."

I will admit that it looks way cool. He's still not getting one, though.

My friend bought one yesterday. We played the Wii Sports games, they were pretty fun. I went undefeated in boxing and I'm actually pretty sore from it.

Haha yeah silly Sony. They didn't do any thinking and randomly picked a price tag and number to release to US customers. Haha.

Woke up early waited in line, etc. We have had a lot of fun playing it... the other one will probably go to his two younger brothers for christmas. He took his down for thanksgiving and they had a so much fun playing it. The whole family were playing rounds of golf.

We haven't ordered Rock Band. But I will be getting the fiance Aerosmith: Guitar Hero for his birthday.

I only played for about a half hour on the Wii Fit, need to reserve my energy for when fiance gets home!
